The Newfoundland Cider Company is the province's first craft cidery. We produce small-batch craft cider from 100% fresh pressed apple juice. We use other natural ingredients, such as locally grown fruit and berries, such as pear, rhubarb, and blueberry; seasonal botanicals, like elderflower, rose and lavender, honey and other local flavours, to create a variety of offerings.
Before the company was even an idea, long-time friends and co-founders, Chris Adams and Marc Poirier, would forage for wild apples to make their own personal small-batch ciders. After friendly competitions with each other to determine who makes the better cider, the two decided to turn their hobby into a partnership. In 2016, the Newfoundland Cider Company was established and in February 2017 launched its first two ciders to the public - The Old Tilt and Forager ciders. Since then, we've been experimenting with a wide variety of flavours and styles, looking for inspiration in seasons and elements of our rugged Newfoundland heritage.
Our ciders are available for purchase at select NLC stores, as well as at our Cidery and Tasting Room, located at 7 Stringer's Lane, George's Brook-Milton. Hours are seasonal and will vary accordingly. For the most up-to-date information, please check our Location & Hours page as well as our Instagram and Facebook social media pages.
